By following the helpful guidelines, your job will be done as fast and as inexpensive as possible.

We are a growing business, so naturally we can’t help but be annoyed and somewhat amused (as we’re sure you will be), at what people will do to socialize with us. No work and all play, however, may get your finish date, pushed back. Even if your job isn’t up to bat, being courteous is important.
Hence, we have developed a little system to keep everything as efficient as possible.

These are common questions or one-liners:
“I was just going by and decisded to stop – I was just checking.”
“My cell phone was off, did you call me?”
“My answering machine/voice mail is broken – I haven’t been home and I didn’t know if you called.”
“Someone called, and I didn’t know if was you.”
“Hey, how is it going?”
“How you making out?”
“Having a good day?”
“It will only take a minute, I just need a little weld right here. (usually a gas tank!)

Also, a December job request that is urgent would
be "I need my lawnmower ASAP!" And for June,
"I need my snow plow, can you fix it now?!" Each
can be done, but both are out of season and it isn’t
important enough to put everything else on hold.

 Another example, at the drop off is you need something ASAP, but when it’s done – we wait two weeks until you pick it up. Example: snow plows aren’t picked up until there’s snow in the forecast. We call this the “hurry up and wait syndrome” and we find ourselves tripping over it in the shop for the next two weeks, while you are nowhere to be found!

Fishing and hunting visits FREE
Dropped cigarette butts $5.00
Spitting $5.00 with Skoal or Copenhagen $10.00
Welding advice, design work, counseling $1.00/min.
Calling $5.00/call plus $1.00/min.
Stopping in and visiting $10.00/visit plus $1.00/min.
Stopping in with kids $10.00/visit plus $1.00/min. per kid
Telling welder how to weld $10.00
Sending a substitute job-checker-upper $10.00
Stop what I’m doing for on-the-spot-service
DOUBLE NORMAL COST
